Hi there! It's fantastic to hear that you're planning a trip to Lima, Trujillo, and Chiclayo in Peru.

Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit Lima is during the summer from December to April. However, if you want to avoid the crowds, consider visiting in September or November. Trujillo’s pleasant climate makes it ideal to visit any time of the year, but do avoid the rain in February. For Chiclayo, the ideal time to visit is during the dry season from May through September.

Route and Accessibility:
Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima is the primary international gateway to Peru. There are regular flights from major cities around the world. From Lima, you can take a short flight or a bus ride to Trujillo and then onward to Chiclayo.

Accommodation and Booking:
You can find a wide range of accommodations in all three cities, from luxury hotels to budget-friendly hostels. It’s advisable to book in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Many prefer using online platforms like Booking.com, Hotels.com, or Airbnb.

Clothing and Essentials:
Lightweight, breathable clothing is recommended for these coastal cities. Don't forget to pack a hat and sunscreen for sun protection. Also, a good pair of walking shoes would be beneficial as there's lots to explore on foot.

Health and Safety:
Ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance. Peru is generally safe, but pickpocketing in tourist areas can be common, so always keep your belongings secure. Drink bottled water, and make sure to have vaccination course up-to-date.

Local Etiquette and Respect:
Peruvians are known for their warm and friendly nature. It's appreciated when tourists make an effort to speak even a few words of Spanish. Avoid photographing people without their permission, and respect all cultural and archaeological sites you visit.
