The best time to visit Vienna and Linz is between April and October when the weather is warm, and for Wachau, September and October are specifically ideal as it's when the grape harvest happens and is a wine lover's paradise.

Vienna has excellent air connectivity with many significant international flights. From Vienna, you can take a train to Linz, approximately a 1-2 hour journey, depending on the type of service. From Linz, Wachau is just an hour's drive away.

Accommodation and Booking:
All these cities offer a wide range of accommodations from luxury to budget hotels. It is recommended to book your accommodations in advance, particularly during peak seasons. Online platforms such as Booking.com, Airbnb can provide good options.
