Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit Guwahati, Shillong, Cherrapunji, and Gangtok is from October to April. The weather is pleasant during these months and perfect for sightseeing.

Route and Accessibility:
You can start your journey from Guwahati. From Guwahati, you can travel to Shillong which is approximately 83 km and it takes about 2 hours by road. From Shillong, Cherrapunji is about 53 km and can be reached in 1.5 hours by road. From Cherrapunji, you have to return to Guwahati and then travel to Gangtok which is around 510 km, and this journey could take around 10 to 12 hours.

Accommodation and Booking:
There is a wide variety of accommodations available in all these cities, ranging from budget lodgings to luxury hotels. It is advisable to book your accommodation in advance especially if you are planning to visit during the peak seasons.

Clothing and Essentials:
Carry warm clothes for your visit to Shillong, Cherrapunji, and Gangtok as temperatures can drop in these places. Raincoats and umbrellas are recommended for Cherrapunji, the wettest place on earth. Don't forget your comfortable walking shoes for the sightseeing.
