Hanoi, as the capital city of Vietnam, is easily accessible by flights from around the world. From Hanoi, you can then take a train to Sapa, which takes approximately 8 hours. Ninh Binh is around 100 kilometers south of Hanoi and can be reached via a 2-hour drive or train ride.
