Travel Tips

Absolutely! Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Salta are splendid cities to visit in Argentina. Here are some travel tips for your journey:

Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit Argentina is from April to June (Fall) and from September to December (Spring). Buenos Aires is relatively mild throughout the year but these months avoid the humidity of summers and chill of winters. For Córdoba and Salta, these periods offer temperate weather.

Route and Accessibility:
Argentina's public transportation system, especially in Buenos Aires, is dynamic with buses and subway system. Domestic flights are the ideal option to travel between Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Salta due to large distances. Rented cars are good for smaller trips once you arrive in a city.

Altitude and Acclimatization:
Córdoba and Buenos Aires are low-altitude cities, however, Salta is slightly at a higher altitude. No significant acclimatization should be necessary but always take it slow for the first few days.

Accommodation and Booking:
There is a wide range of accommodation available from budget hostels to luxury hotels. Particularly in Buenos Aires, consider staying in neighborhoods like Palermo or San Telmo. Always book in advance.

Clothing and Essentials:
Pack according to the season of your visit. Comfortable shoes are essential as there is a lot to explore on foot. Don’t forget sunscreen, hat or umbrella depending on the season.

Health and Safety:
Argentina is generally safe, however, it's advised to take routine precautions against pickpockets especially in crowded areas. Tap water is safe to drink in major cities.

Local Etiquette and Respect:
Argentines are generally warm and friendly. Spanish is widely spoken so learning a few basic phrases might be useful. Respect local traditions and customs. If you're invited to someone's house, it's a common tradition to bring a small gift.
