Travel Tips

Absolutely, these are wonderful places. Below are some tips for your journey:

Best Time to Visit:
Chandigarh can be visited throughout the year. However, October to March are the best months to visit Chandigarh when the weather is pleasant. On the other hand, Manali can be visited throughout the year but for snow try between December to February and for better weather March to June is ideal. March to June is also the best time to visit Shimla, although winter can also be considered if you want to experience snow.

Route and Accessibility:
From Delhi, Chandigarh is easily accessible by Rail, Road, and Air. A taxi or bus can get you from Chandigarh to Manali which takes about 8-9 hours. From Manali to Shimla, bus services are available but hiring a taxi will give you flexibility and comfort.

Altitude and Acclimatization:
Shimla and Manali are both hill towns set at a high altitude but are not high enough to cause severe altitude sickness. However, Manali is the starting point for many high altitude treks. It's important to take the first day easy to acclimate to the altitude.

Accommodation and Booking:
All three cities have a range of accommodation options. Book your hotels in advance especially during peak tourist seasons to avoid last-minute hassles.

Clothing and Essentials:
Weather can drastically change at any time in hills. Carry warm as well as light clothes, good footwear for walking, sunblock, sunglasses and a hat. Always keep a raincoat or an umbrella as it can rain anytime.

Health and Safety:
Roads can be curvy and often crowded with traffic, so ensure that you have a reliable, experienced driver. It's a great idea to carry a health kit with necessary medicine, just in case.

Local Etiquette and Respect:
Be respectful to the local culture and traditions. Dress modestly while visiting temples. Do not litter around and respect the natural beauty of the place.
