Travel Tips

Absolutely, travelling to Tétouan, Chefchaouen, and Meknes in Morocco is sure to be an exciting experience. Here are some travel tips for your trip:

Best Time to Visit:
These Moroccan cities are beautiful all year round but the most pleasant time to visit them would be during Spring (April - June) and Autumn (September - November) due to the moderate climate.

Route and Accessibility:
These cities are well connected by bus and taxi services. From international destinations, fly to Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport and then take a bus or taxi to Tétouan. Chefchaouen can be reached by bus from Tétouan or Tangier. Meknes is well-connected by train services from major Moroccan cities such as Rabat or Casablanca.

Altitude and Acclimatization:
The cities are not at a high altitude, so acclimatization won't be a major concern.

Accommodation and Booking:
Morocco is famous for its traditional guesthouses called Riads, consider booking one for a unique experience. Always book in advance especially during peak seasons.

Clothing and Essentials:
Dress modestly as Morocco is a conservative country. Essential items to pack include a good pair of walking shoes, sunscreen, hat for summer and warm clothes for the cooler months.

Health and Safety:
Always carry basic medicines and your usual medication. Food hygiene is generally good, but it's still good to be cautious. Opt for cooked meals instead of raw.

Local Etiquette and Respect:
Respect local traditions and customs. Always ask before taking people's photographs. In mosques, non-Muslims are often not allowed in the prayer areas.

Enjoy your trip and make sure to try local delicacies and explore local markets.
